Seldom seen, this Gulf Oil counter display is in new-old-stock condition. It dates from the 1950s and features an Elephant washing itself and the slogan “For Summer Protection”. The words “Change To-” are on the left side of the cardboard sign where the display would hold a one-quart oil can. Gulf produced this Elephant and another with a Tiger on it for its stations. It measures 13 inches tall by 13 inches wide and shows minor bends at the top left and bottom right corners, as well as a small rub on the bottom left corner. 21654-QTP
