In the 1930s, America took to the road, and drivers used license plate tag toppers as miniature billboards to advertise travel destinations, club memberships, and professions. This aluminum tag topper, attached to the license plate of a member of the Pensacola Outboard Club, measures 5.25 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide. The “Pens A Cola” letters, along with “Outboard Club,” are raised on a life ring around the outside, with a boat with fishermen on the inside of the topper. Minor wear on this rare, unmarked piece.
