What a colorful red cardboard hat box which dates from the 1920’s or 1930’s and is marked “Dobbs Fifth Avenue Hats” on the top of the lid. The side of the lid is inscribed “Cross Country” denoting the line of hat that would have been in the box. Around the sides of the box are images of various types of transportation, both vintage and modern, including an ocean liner, antique and modern trains, an early automobile, and a modern bus. The box measures about fourteen inches tall by twelve inches wide by seven inches deep and is in good condition with edge wear and discoloration. There is a quarter size repaired hole in the lid and some Christmas decals have been placed in the “To/From” box on the lid. 9840-51EE
