This smaller size octagon shaped counter top display showcase was originally used for Pepsin Gum in the early 1900’s! It features eight different areas inside the showcase that can be accessed by two hinged glass lids on the top of the case. Inside the glass, the dividers are wooden, and the bottom is metal, as is the hinge plate and the trim that covers the glass edges on the side. The base is wooden, and a past owner stuck a Beech-Nut Gum change mat on the bottom so it would not slide on their counter. The top hinge is stamped “Mfg. For National Pepsin Gum Co.”, “San Francisco”, “Patd. Oct.-18, Nov-19, Aug-20, Nov-20”, “Others Granted And Pending”. The glass sides move slightly, and can be removed if needed. Very nice display that you could use for candy and/or gum! 18924-WYP
