Outfitted in Shell colors, this 1927 Gilbert & Barker 176 5-gallon gravity-fed gas pump was a common sight in smaller, more rural towns. According to the information in “The Gas Pump Bible” book, this is the 4th version of the 176 model, produced by G&B. The pump stands approximately 120 inches tall, with a round base measuring 24 inches in diameter. The glass cylinder is cracked, but it displays very nicely. The iconic milk glass Shell globe atop the pump is also cracked on the left side, looking from the front of the pump. The pump has an older restoration in Shell colors and still looks very good for its age. Some minor marks are to be expected, with a few dings in the metal housing.
