Tennessee Enamel Manufacturing Company, based in Nashville, produced beautiful signs for Coca-Cola, such as this example dated 1933. This porcelain sign is double-sided and features the original metal frame on which it was hung in town. The colors and condition are superb on this iconic sign, which features the Coca-Cola script in the center, and “Drug Store” in the top privilege panel. The porcelain finish exhibits age-related staining on the white letters, while maintaining a nice gloss throughout. It is stamped “Made In U.S.A. 1933” in the lower left corner of each side, with “Tenn. Enamel Mfg. Co. Nashville” in the lower right corner of each side. A small chip in the porcelain is visible on one side. This example would be hard to improve upon and a true asset in your collection.
