Becoming more standardized, this 1936 license plate issued by Virginia was originally orange numbers/letters on a dark blue background, but has succumbed to weathering over the years. The surface has some slight surface rust on it, with some chipping of the raised letters/numbers. This is a higher number license tag with six numbers on it. A hole in each corner has been added, as the original holes are the oblong ones. The back has some slight surface rust on the bottom corners, so this is an excellent candidate for restoration.
