On the verge of bankruptcy, 7 UP chose to do something totally different then they had ever tried before. It rebranded the soda as the UnCola, and changed their advertising to appeal to the psychedelic phase just a few months before Woodstock happened in 1969. Although most artwork is attributed to Peter Max, the look came from Push Pin Studios in New York. This sign was originally mounted to the top of a bottle rack full of 7 UP at your local grocery or general store. It is double sided with a curved base. Some minor scratches are on the face of the sign, along with some slight edge chipping. The curved bottom that wrapped around the metal bottle rack has some slight wear and some roughness in the paint. Also on the curved bottom side it has a small bend on the top right of the sign. It measures nine inches tall by thirty-six inches wide and will make a very remembrance of the hippie era. 18884-YTP
