Many gas companies used a metal body or ring to display on top of their gas pumps, and this American Gas was one of them. The metal body was popular as early as the 1920’s and the bodies could be repainted to match the pump with ease. The American Gas lenses sit nicely inside the white body and the colors contrast nicely. Both American Gas lenses are in amazing shape with some scratches on the inside of the “i” on one lens. A few scratches can be felt on the lens, but are not deep. The metal body appears to have been repainted during it’s life, as the color is sharp. It stands nineteen and three-quarters inches tall by eighteen and a half inches wide by seven inches wide. Great addition to your gas pump globe collection! 19274-OET
