Produced by West Virginia Glass Company, this Polka dot-patterned straw jar dates to the late 1800s and is in phenomenal condition! The color of this straw jar is Peacock Blue, and it retains the original matching glass lid. In 1894, the West Virginia Glass Company produced this color, along with crystal, ruby, green, amber, crystal opalescent, blue opalescent, and ruby opalescent. Beautiful characteristics of this vintage straw holder include the bulbous base and lid, which has no finial. It stands 11.5 inches tall with the lid and 4.5 inches wide at the base. It shows no cracks, chips, or repairs, with light flea bites on the inside of the glass lid, typical of use. 21406-EEP
