Great 1920’s – 1930’s store tin that held 5 lb. of Satin Finish hard candies, manufactured by Brandle & Smith Co. in Philadelphia. The tin is decorated in mint green with “Brandle & Smith Co. Satin Finish Confections” inscribed in a diagonal pattern around the sides. There is an oval emblem on the front and back with a wonderful image of a little girl sitting on her big hairy retriever. It is trimmed in gold and inscribed “Satin Finish Confections.” The shop owner would use this tin for storage and weigh the candies out on a scale for the customer. The tin is in excellent condition with strong colors and only minor nicks and scratches. There are some creases and “waves” on the back where a larger dent was knocked out. 8137-000
