My grandfather kept screws, nuts, and bolts in his cigar boxes, who knew they would be so collectible? This rare cedar cigar box dates from the early 1900’s and once held La Azora Cigars, which were boxed and shipped by Lilenfeld Bros. & Company in Chicago, Illinois. The top of the lid is inscribed “La Azora Washington Q.M.C. $1.50 Box”, and the underside is decorated with a great lithograph of a group of explorers rowing the Nile river. Palm trees and minarets can be seen in the colorful background. The box is in good condition with minor wear and staining on the outside, with minor discoloration inside. 12288-QWT
