Rare indeed is the 1927 Coca Cola five piece diecut cardboard festoon decorated with colorful autumn leaves. On the center panel is an image of a pretty young lady in a flapper hat offering a glass of Coca Cola to the customer. On the ends are images of a young man and woman toasting one another. The inscriptions Read “Drink Coca Cola, delicious and refreshing.” These large decorative signs were hung over the back bar mirrors at soda fountains. This example is in excellent condition with wonderful color, no missing pieces, and only minor edge wear. Three of the leaves are lightly creased and not noticeable. It is interesting, the piece had been attached for some acid free card stock, which when we took off, some of the paper from the back was removed. However, we discovered on the backside there was silk screen the image in half tones on the back in reverse. Not sure if they tried it on the cardboard first, then turned it over and then printed. They did not like to waste anything back then and is the only reason I can find. See pictures and how neat this is. 13763-ETPP
