Rarely do you find this in such great condition with what looks like the original paint. It came out of my collection and has sat on my pie safe for quite a while. This was used in the country store on the counter as the master mustard jar. Colburn’s Mustard was a staple in Philadelphia Colburn’s Mustard Jar, country store countertop master mustard jar with Colburn’s Mustard Phila. The light tan body has a brick type design with reddish brown and tan flowers border around the top and bottom. One side has color the other plain. I would say that since it was expensive to put color on, they just put it on the side the the customer saw. It does have an old crack that goes down through the “S’ and is not seen through the body of the container just at the top edge. A piece you can put on the shelf and enjoy the history. 3377-71ROO
