This clean, circa-1900 oak countertop bread case was made by the Miami Manufacturing Company in Peru, IN. It has glass double doors framed in poplar at the back. The rest of the framing and moldings are oak. Dowels and peg holes for shelves, which can be arranged in several variations depending on what is being displayed, are inside, but there are currently no shelves. The showcase has its original finish and glass. A hasp has been added to the doors to allow them to be locked, and the top filler panel has been replaced. It measures thirty-eight inches tall by twenty-six and a quarter inches square and is in excellent condition. Due to the size and/or fragility of this item, pickup arrangements must be made.
