Cragstan Toy Race Car Rear Push Prop Rod Friction Japan

What a cool-looking toy! This lithographed tin friction car is called “Prop-Rod” and has an airplane propeller strapped to the rear. When pushed forward or backward, the airplane prop moves along with the red pieces on the engine. The yellow and black markings make it look like a taxi, but it is far from one! Cragstan was the toy maker that produced this toy, which was probably made in Japan in the late 1950s. The two rear hubcaps are missing, and the plastic windshield is no longer attached. Some minor chips on the body, mainly on the roof and the nose of the hot rod. A semi-large dent on the passenger side just under the window and a minor dent on the car’s roof can be seen under close inspection. Just an elegant car to display in your toy collection! 18834-EYP
