This small wooden store counter, made of several different types of wood in a dark oak finish, dates from around the turn of the twentieth century. The oak front has four panels with pine tongue-and-groove wainscot inserts, and the pine side panels have two inserts each. It has a pine top that appears to have been intended for a countertop showcase. The back is open with a raised floor, but no shelf. The counter measures 34 inches tall, 55 inches wide, and 27 inches deep, just the right size for a display at home. The counter is in excellent condition with a newer refinish. Some narrow, flat moldings were removed from around the wainscot panels before they were refinished. Due to the size and/or fragility of this item, pickup arrangements must be made.
