These porcelain door pushes were designed to advertise Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin to store customers. In eye-catching black and yellow, this pair measures 6.5 inches tall by 3.75 inches each. Each is single-sided and convex, with grommets at the top and bottom, allowing the store owner to mount them easily on their door. Both signs are extremely clean and retain nice gloss. The “Pull” sign has a small chip on the right and two smaller chips on the left. The “Push” sign has a minor chip along the top and bottom, with light edge wear on the outer sides. It is rare to find a pair of these signs in this condition, which we date to the 1920s. 21589-IUT
