While most collectors refer to these clocks as Cleveland Clocks, they were never known by that name during their production. In fact, the Electric Neon Clock Company, which produced them, was founded after the Great Depression and headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Turning to this particular clock, model number PL-5 measures 26 inches wide and is fitted with a curved marquee above it, making the clock 36 inches wide total and 31.5 inches tall. Specifically, the clock face is metal, with a plexiglass cover protecting it from the weather. The top marquee is newer and reads “Route 66 Motor Court.” Over the years, the metal clock housing has been repainted, though a few minor chips remain on the canister. Still, the neon lights up nicely, providing a soft glow, and the clock keeps correct time. There are a few minor marks on the inside of the plexiglass cover, with minor color loss. Given its size, this clock is not a shippable item. 21454-QQIP
