Fan Pull Two Homers Tobacco Cigars Homing Pigeons Cardboard

Description

It seems that tobacco advertising always has a certain flair to it, and you can see it in this Two Homers Cigar fan pull. It is made of heavy cardboard and double sided for customers to see both sides while it spins under a ceiling fan. The colors are vivid and the artwork of two homing pigeons is just amazing. On the sides of the center piece the artistic flair of the lines and the shadows really make this rare piece stand out. “Two Homers” up top, and “2 Cigars For 5 Cents” at the bottom, with “They Always Come Back” underneath the pigeons is fairly wordy for a piece as small as this, but it works very well. The manufacturer “A. J. Golden, Baltimore, MD.” is on the lower right of the picture. The condition of this piece appears to be new old stock, as it still has the original string attached to the top. Apparently when it was new, the store owner wrote “Nov 1931, R-1405 A. J. Golden, new” in pencil on one side. Very cool piece of history! 18850-31TP
