Fischer Baking Company began in the early 1900’s, and was the first bread company to pre slice bread automatically! Now there is a modern day convenience we all take for granted! This single sided tin sign is in immaculate shape and features an embossed loaf of bread on the face. The little girl on the bread wrapper was M. Fischer, a granddaughter of one of the founders. This sign dates from the 1950s, during which Fischer Baking Company was the largest commercial bakery in New Jersey at the time.
