This scarce tin, decorated in the esthetic style, dates from the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. There is an image of a spice jar along with the inscription Cheloong’s Crystallized Canton Ginger on the lid. The front and back panels are inscribed Importer by Edward Benneche & Bro. New York. The tin measures three and three quarters inches tall by six inches wide by one and a quarter inches deep and is in excellent condition with some flakes, nicks, scratches, and surface crazing. 9973-61WR
