This rare little glass mug dates from the first quarter of the twentieth century and was used to measure roasted nuts, scooping them out of a large container and placing them in a small paper bag for the customer. The front of the mug is embossed with an “ANC” logo and the back is embossed “Loaned By American Nut Company Indianapolis, IND.” The bottom is embossed “10 Cent Measure.” The mug measures two and a half inches tall by one and seven eighths inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with two small chips on the bottom rim. It is a wonderful reminder of the days before everything was prepackaged. 15587-51QP
