This interesting high-fronted oak counter dates from the 1910’s or 1920’s and would have been used originally in a hotel lobby or department store.  It has 12 recessed panels on the front and 4 on each side, with an open back.  There is a seven-inch-wide rim on the front and sides, with a lower counter and shelves in the back.  It measures 49.5 inches tall, 97 inches wide, and 30 inches deep, and is in excellent condition, with the original finish on the front and sides.  The counter and shelf have been recently painted dark brown.
