Circa 1900 American made walnut highboy chest of drawers with poplar secondary wood. It is built in the Chippendale style of the late 18th century with a broken arch top, fluted columns in the corners, and hand carved ball and claw feet. The arch has carved floral designs and three flaming torch finials. There are 8 drawers in the top section and 4 drawers in the bottom section. There is one deep drawer in each section with a carved scallop shell front. The highboy measures 88″ tall x 40 1/2″ wide x 21″ deep and is in excellent condition with a recent refinish.
