Manufactured by Hamilton Beach in the mid 1930s, this unusual ice cream scoop has a 1 1/2 inch diameter hole made in the bowl, for what purpose, I’m not sure, perhaps as a slicer. It is made of nickel plated brass with a wooden handle and measures about 9 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide. This example is in excellent working condition with minor nicks and surface wear. 3697-71QPP
