A collectible item in its own day, this little lithographed dish could be had by anyone who sent forty Kis-Me gum wrappers to the manufacturer. One of fifteen imported French “plaques” in the series dates from around the turn of the twentieth century and has a sweet image of a little girl picking roses on the front. A decal on the back is inscribed “Kis – Me Everybody’s Favorite. The most delicious chewing gum ever made was free of grit or dirt and possessed the most delicate flavors known to the art. Try it once is all we ask.” The dish measures five and three-eighths inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with a one-and-a-half-inch long area of surface loss along the right edge and light discoloration throughout. These did not survive due to their being cardboard.
