Boston Varnish Company was headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, hence the colonial dress of their wise mascot! Here he is letting customers know that Kyanize Floor Finish will save the surface of your hardwood floors. Kyanize went as far as offering a full refund for the empty can if the product does not do all it claims in the early years. This diecut cardboard display appears to have been a selling display that would have sat on top of a can of floor varnish. Some minor wear around the outer die cut edge with a bend on the right side on his hand, and a bend on the left side where his legs are.
