Malt-Nutrine Metal Faced Sign Anheuser Busch Prohibition

Description

Dating from times of prohibition, this Anheuser Busch issued metal sign is advertising “Malt-Nutrine” which was a low alcohol form of beer, which was considered a tonic. It shows a horse and carriage chasing a bird flying with bottles in its beak, with “A Hurry Call” at the bottom. The face of the metal sign has a few scratches and paint loss, which is to be expected with a century old sign. The back is cardboard, with the original string for hanging. It was made by The American Art Works in Coshocton, Ohio. 19754-WPP
