Straw holders evolved for better consumer sanitation. The old glass model with a removable lid was replaced by a round metal version that dispenses one straw at a time using a crank on either side. The side reads “Sanitary Straws” in red and black. It is 11 inches long and 6 inches tall and stands on cast iron legs for use at the soda fountain counter. Clear windows show the straw supply on each side, while another allows easy refilling. One leg is marked “Rex Mfg.
