Manufactured by the Kemper-Thomas Company in Cincinnati and dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, this die-cut cardboard calendar top features an image of a stag peering over a garden fence and is inscribed at the bottom, “Greetings Nichols & Krueger, The Modern Clothes Store, Wellman, Iowa.” The calendar top measures about 15 1/2 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition with a torn hanging hole at the top and minor edge wear.
