This unusual oak counter top showcase, dating from around the turn of the twentieth century, is perfect for displaying the best pieces of a collection of small items. It is short and shallow, measuring only six inches tall by nine inches deep. However it is seventy-two inches wide so it fits perfectly on the top of a six foot floor case. Just place it on the back edge and it provides extra space without blocking the view into the top of the floor case. It has three rear sliding doors with mirror fronts, a glass top and sides, and a slightly slanted front glass. I’m not sure what was displayed in it originally, perhaps perfume, ink, or medicine.
