Oil was sold in bulk, and service stations used lubesters to pump the oil into glass quart jars, allowing customers to easily add a quart when needed to their cars. This Lubester pump was produced by Oil Products Appliance Co. (OPACO) and is model number M16. The pump dates back to the late 1920s and features an embossed pump crank with the TEXACO logo. Over the years, it has been painted, and the paint is now peeling off the pump itself. The Lubester measures 52 inches in height, 10 inches in width, and 22 inches in depth.
