Featuring a Dutch woman with a stick to “drive away dust and dirt”, Old Dutch Cleanser was created in 1905 by Cudahy Packing Company. This curved porcelain sign features the iconic scene. It also advertises a large sifter can for 10 cents. The sign measures 32 inches in height by 20 inches in width, with a 4-inch outward curve. Dating to the 1920s, it displays nice colors and gloss throughout the field. There is light scratching on the top third of the sign, in the darker background, and three chips on her dress. There are also minor chips around the outer edge, a larger chip in the upper right corner, and a few along the bottom edge.
