Shell designed these beautiful signs to stand out and grab travelers attention when it was time to fill up! This forty-eight inch die cut sign once hung proudly outside a Shell service station and greeted customers daily. It is double sided with sharp colors and shaped in the iconic clamshell style. The face has multiple chips on both sides from use over the years, but has great gloss. Some chipping can be seen around the outside edge as well. It is marked “Property Shell Oil Co., Inc.” in the lower right corner of one side with what appears to be a stamp of “Peerless 6-39” below. The numbers are smudged slightly.
