Dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, this square, scallop edged 5 well oyster plate was manufactured by Marx and Gutherz in Carlsbad, Austria. It is decorated with hand painted and airbrushed pink highlights in the wells with a gold transfer decoration around the rim. The back carries the round maker’s mark and the model number. The plate measures 9 inches square and is in excellent condition with heavy wear on the gold rim decoration. 1070-71QPP
