This rare counter top display stand dates from the 1930s and would have been used at a hardware store. It consists of a four tier stepped back tin top with a folding back panel attached to a wooden base. The top is black with red and yellow trim and yellow and green writing and is inscribed “Look ! You can see the color through the glass Murphy Quick Velvet Enamel.” The steps have indentations for fourteen glass containers of the paint and there is a storage area in the back of the display for extra containers. The display measures seventeen and three eighths inches tall by thirteen inches wide by thirteen and a half inches deep and is in excellent condition with nicks, light scratches, and edge wear. 9990-QWT
