Beautiful new old stock 1 pt. tin of Planters Hi-Hat Peanut Oil, manufactured by Planters Edible Oil Company during the 1930s. It has striking red and blue art deco graphics and images of Mr. Peanut and a gelatin salad on the front and back. On one side is an image of a plate of donuts and a pan full of hamburgers with the inscriptions “Better for cooking” and “Best for digestion,” and on the other side is an image of a bowl of mayonnaise, a bottle of oil, and a plate of potato wedges with the inscriptions “Superior for salads” and “Excellent for frying.” A pour spout at the top of the tin swivels to open and close. The tin is in near-mint condition with wonderful color and graphics. 13163-21TP
