Alfred Jonathan Harwi opened A. J. Harwi Hardware company in the late 1800’s and one of the greatest merchants in the state of Kansas. This great looking countertop showcase has the front glass etched “A J Hari Hardware Co.” “Warranted Harwi Pennant Cutlery” “Atchison, Kans.” and still has the original glass on the top and sides. The company sold a variety of pocket knives, straight razors, and shears. The outer edges and base are made of oak wood and look amazing! Inside, the felt dividers are worn from use, but look great. The dividers are raised because there is a drawer underneath that has the same divider layout as inside the case! If a customer wanted a specific item, you could easily find it in the drawer. The back doors have mirrors on them and each side slides open so you can easily help the customer with what they need. Some minor scratches are on the top glass and the rear of the case.
