Ready for your wall, this huge Service Oil Station porcelain sign measures six inches tall by a whopping seventy-two inches long! This sign actually came from an Essex Automobile Dealership and dates from the late 1920’s to very early 1930’s. The blue letters stand out nicely against the white background of this rare sign. It has ten mounting holes on the top and bottom edges with eight of the original grommets in tact. The outer edges have some minor chipping, with one small scratch over the l in “Oil”. Some light marks can be seen when light reflects off the gloss of the sign as well. The right end of the sign has some production marks in in the finish, which was typical in the early days of porcelain manufacturing.
