The Quaker Oats that we know and love began as German Mills American Cereal Company in 1850. The name was changed to The Quaker Oats Company in 1901. This rare store display rack is seldom seen and will look amazing in your country store collection. The rack has three shelves for product display, with each metal shelf reading “For Purity – Quaker Oats Quality Products” on the front edge. The metal top sign shows the iconic Quaker Oaks mascot on each side, with “Quaker Oats Quality Products” in the center. The top of the section reads “The Best Cereal Foods” and the bottom reads “Alternate To Suit Your Taste”. We date this rack from the early 1900s, and it is in excellent condition. Minor wear on the top sign, with a few scratches and paint loss. The rack itself shows paint loss, with some rubbing to the letters on the front. The back legs swing out to allow it to stand with ease. It stands 69.5 inches tall, is 28.25 inches wide, plus 22 inches deep. The store product shown on the display is included with the stand.
