Dating from the 1950’s, this small Coca Cola thermometer looks to have been modeled after a larger Coke pedestal sign, but may actually be a salesman sample or promotional sample. It may only be seven inches tall and made out of plastic, but it is in new old stock condition! The thermometer resembles a lollipop, as the top is rounded, and the bottom looks like a stick. At the bottom is the message “Your Friendly Advertising Message” in the privilege panel area. Of course these were never mass printed, as they were used as samples to show the Coca Cola plants or retailers how it would look before they ordered them for their customers. The only flaw we can find in this rare piece is that the thermometer slides down when it is displayed. There is no way of tightening it, so we have not tried to repair it.
