The large and heavy sign is 29 inches tall and 27.5 inches wide. It is 4 inches deep with thick cast aluminum “FORD” letters above a die-cut aluminum shield. The shield features brass decorations on painted metal. The bottom panel has some surface spots. This Ford crest or coat of arms first appeared on the front and rear of all Fords in 1950 and was used throughout the 1950s and early 1960s.
