Do you love rare thermometers? We do, and here is a beautiful one for you to purchase! This Valvoline thermometer was made by Pam Clock Company (yes, the one that makes the coolest clocks), and measures twelve inches in diameter. It features a tilted can of Valvoline Oil with the slogan “Ask for the World’s First Motor Oil” across the top, and “Costs more to make…Costs less to use” at the bottom of the can. The very bottom of the thermometer face has some paint peeling inside the glass cover from -30 degrees to 110 degrees. “Pam Clock Co. Inc. New Rochelle, NY USA” is still readable, but is cracked. On the back, the top mount has been bent too many times and is missing a piece, but a hole has been added. The other tabs are bent in slightly. The aluminum housing also has a cut in the top.
