Excellent, rare 2 gallon urn shaped salt glazed crock with ear shaped handles and a simple floral decoration. It is embossed ” E S,Fox – Athens” and was made in Athens, NY. sometime between 1838 and 1843, the only time this mark was used. It is in mint condition and I can’t find even a flea bite. It has a beautiful form and would make an excellent addition to any collection. 10187-90IIP
