Back in the day when all men wore hats, these miniature hats were given as gifts to be traded at the clothing store for a full sized, correctly fitted hat. This example is a blue felt fedora in a brown box with images of men pursuing different sports around the sides. The lid is inscribed “Adam Hats, a gift for … from … ” Adam Hats was a New York City based manufacturer. The box measures 4 3/4″ square by 2 1/2″ deep and is in good condition with wear, discoloration, and two torn corners on the lid. Circa 1950’s. 14003-31WP
