Rarely seen, this was manufactured by the American Can Company in the early 1930s, this rare tin display stand is designed to rest on a counter or be hung on a wall. Designed as a “point of sale” display, it holds 1 box of 40 Sen-Sen chewing gum 5c packages, enticing shoppers to make an extra purchase. The back panel of the display is decorated with an image of a pretty young lady and is inscribed “Sen-Sen sweetens the breath 5c.” The display measures 6 7/8 inches tall by 5 7/8 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches deep and is in good condition with areas of surface loss and rust on the lower right side and some minor scratches and edge wear.
