This is truly a rare piece of chaulkware that has stood the test of time. Not much is found on this brand and I am assuming that they were not in business long. The kids looks to be from the 1930’s by their clothing and shoes. The young boy is holding on to the girl and has a ball in his hand. I would assume due to the nautical theme that they are dressed for the beach. Notice the “Matey’s” logo has a rope around it and the base has a life preserver with the words “Mates”. Extremely heavy and believe or not I see o breaks. The base they are on is also extremely heavy. True display piece you will enjoy for years to come. 9986-TWP
