Dating from the 1940s, this 30-inch Texaco Motor Oil double-sided porcelain sign features the distinctive “Golden Pour” graphic and was mounted on a curb-side lollipop stand. The imagery on each side proclaims Texaco Motor Oil as “Clean, Clear, Golden,” with the Texaco letters displayed inside the stream of oil flowing from the can. Both sides have touch-up paint along the outer edge, and two locations in the lower half of the field each exhibit a small hole inside the touch-up area. The colors on each side are sharp, though some discoloration appears in the sign’s white background. One side has a chip with touch-up just above the “Golden Pour” graphic, and the “Texaco” letters are not as visible in the oil pour stream.
