This United States 5’s Cigar wooden cigar box, dated 1898, measures 5 inches tall by 7 inches deep and 15.25 inches long. It features inlaid designs on the lid and the ends. The front panel is a graphic paper label with a picture of a lady in a period-correct dress, with the American flag in the background and an eagle in the lower right corner. Typical wear is on this front label. Underneath the lid is a larger graphic paper label with the same picture and writing. This label is in much better condition, with minor edge wear. La Belle Creole Cigar Factory is a name written around the lady’s picture. S. Hernshein Bros. & Co., located in New Orleans, Louisiana, manufactured these cigars. Normal wear is on the outer edges of the wooden box, with tears on the inside paper label. 21308-QTP
